Butter Chicken

Ingredients

  • 250g chicken ($2) or optional replace half chicken with 1 potato
  • 125 ml cream + 1tbs yogurt ($1.5)
  • 125 ml tomato puree
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1/2 tsp corn flour
  • parsley for topping
  • Seasoning
    • 1/2 tsp cumin
    • 1/2 clove garlic
    • 1cm ginger
    • 1/2 tsp garam masala
    • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
    • 1 bay leaf
    • 20g butter

Method

  1. Stir-fry onion until fragrant. Add seasoning and stir-fry until fragrant.
  2. Add tomato puree and stir. Add cream. Simmer and remove from heat.
  3. Brown chicken and season with remaining garam masala.
  4. Combine sauce and chicken. Add corn flour to thicken if needed.
  5. Serve with parsley.
